APPS & PNR: Pre-Screening Passengers for Safe and Seamless Travel

Project Overview

This project provides the Advance Passenger Processing System (APPS) and the Passenger Name Record (PNR) processing system, designed for international airports.

Challenges

• The need to pre-screen and verify passengers before entering or exiting the Kingdom of Thailand.
• The need to coordinate passenger data among airlines, the Immigration Bureau, and the Customs Department.

Developed Solutions

SKY ICT Public Company Limited provides the APPS and PNR systems, with the following workflow:

• The system receives and transmits passenger and crew information (according to international standards) for those entering, exiting, or transiting Thailand.
• This information is sent to the Immigration Bureau and Customs Department for verification.
• The system receives the processing results (e.g., approved, not approved, or require contacting officials) and relays them back to the airline.

Data Security Standards

The system operates under airport supervision, with secure data verification between the Immigration Bureau and the Customs Department.

• Enables pre-travel passenger screening and verification.
• Airlines receive clear results for decision-making (OK TO BOARD, CONTACT GOV, DO NOT BOARD).
